Biographical Notes

Frederick James Gibson was the eldest in the family of Joseph Henry and (Mary Jane (née Evans) Gibson. He was educated at Cannington School. The family moved to Fairview not long before Frederick turned fifteen and his younger siblings transferred to Fairview School. He enlisted in July 1918, not long after his twentieth birthday.
