Biographical Notes

William Edward Biggs was the son of Abraham and Isabella (née Guy) Biggs, and a brother of Frank James Biggs who also enlisted. William was educated initially at Annat School, then at Fairview School after the family moved there in 1898. William married Jacobina Magdelena Hullen (a sister of Ann) on 4 February 1920 at her mother's home at Waitohi. His brother Frank was one of the witnesses.
