Biographical Notes

Daniel Fogarty was born on 15 December 1888 at Waimate, the youngest in the family of John and Anastasia (née Quin) Fogarty. His father, an elderly man, dropped dead while tilling the land the day before Daniel was to arivie home on the hospital ship.
