Biographical Notes

William Edward Powell was the son of Thomas and Minnie Amelia Louise Powell.

William appears to have played in the Timaru Garrison Band, appearing in a portrait held by the South Canterbury Museum dated from 1902 (ref: 2007/040.03). Amongst family records another band portriat from around 1906.
