Biographical Notes

Thomas Arthur Powell was the son of Thomas and Minnie Amelia Louise Powell.

In May 1936 Thomas collapsed while travelling to work at the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company works at Pareora. Thomas had been employed at the company for 29 years, and left behind a widow and two children.
