Biographical Notes

Michael Raymond McATEER was the son of Michael and Margaret (née Power) McAteer, as was Charles Joseph McAteer who seems in fact to be the subject of this enlistment. See page 11 of Personnel File - McAteer Michael Raymond, 63474. 30th Reinforcements D Company - 'The above named Detail is identical with "McAteer C. J." Ex G Coy 15th Reinft Discharged from Camp awaiting Stat Declaration.' Raymond had been rejected as medically unfit for the military forces.
