William Selwyn RUTHERFURD, maybe known as Selwyn, was the son of William and Florence Ada (nee GREEN) RUTHERFURD. He was born on 6 June 1889, at Tiimaru. William was educated at Waimataitai School. He enlisted for WWI on 3 September 1918 at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Actually William was conscripted rather than enlisting. His service was in Canada.
