"Private J. Hampson, 14102, 1st Training Batt., died at Tidworth Militry Hospital on Wednesday, September 20th. He was buried at 111a.m. on Saturday, September 23rd, at Tidworth Cemetery. Wreaths were sent from the High Commissioner and the N.Z.W.C.A."( Chronicles of the N.Z.E.F September 29, 1916 p.57)
