Biographical Notes

Herbert COLLINS (Bert) was the son of James Francis & Anna M. COLLINS, of 118 Upland Rd, Kelburn, Wellington. Also served in South African War (Service No. 5605). Was on staff of C.F.C.A. - head of the hardware department; remembered in photo in public portion of their office. Member of Forests' Lodge. Herbert was first reported missing on 28 August 1915, then reported believed dead.
