Admitted to hospital on 10 July 1917, then to Walton-on-Thames Hospital on 11 July, with gun shot wounds received on 28/30 June 1917. He had in fact been reported wounded on 225 June. He was transferred to Hornchurch on 17 July and stayed there until 22 August.

Biographical Notes

James Timothy BROSNAHAN was the son of Timothy Michael Thady and Mary BROSNAHAN. Timothy remarried in 1896, three years after James's mother, Mary, died in 1893.

Jamesgave a total of 3 years and 30 days of war service. He embarked at Liverpool on 3 December 1918 per "Tahiti".

James is buried with his father and his step-mother Bridget in Timaru Cemetery.
