Biographical Notes

William Edward YESBERG was the son of John YESBERG  and Anna Maria (Maria, née TAYLOR) YESBERG. Enlisted as Edward CLARK. Brother of Richard YESBERG who also served in WWI. Later of Matiere Saw Mill, Taumarunui. Next-of-kin at death - Mrs K. Nelson, 90 Reed Street, Oamaru (sister). Believe his is the death registered as William Edward YESBERG. On enlistment (at Taumarunui) he indicated that his mother was deceased but she didn't die until 1938. Edward gave 2 years and 74 days of service abroad.
