Biographical Notes

Arthur James LYONS was born in 1895 at Belfast, Northern Ireland, the older son of William John LYONS and Sarah Jane née CORBETT. The family migratedfrom Belfast to New Zealand in October 1913. At the time of enlisting, Arthur was a labourer at the PareoraFreezing Works.
