Biographical Notes

Son of Patrick & Ellen COSGROVE, of Pleasant Point. Brother of James COSGROVE, killed in action, & of Gordon COSGROVE, who also served in WWI. Educated at Pleasant Point School. Edmond appealed his call-up, saying that he had 12 acres of potatoes growing and wanted time to dig them. Edmund left Timaru for the Front on 11 April 1917. Farmer at St Andrews. Retired to Timaru.
